Diving Coach Andy Scott
Hired in August 2010, Andy Scott joined the program as the head diving coach for both the Lords and Ladies.
Scott arrived on campus after spending the last few seasons in San Antonio, Texas, establishing the diving program at the University of Incarnate Word, an NCAA Division II institution. While working there, he coached a total of three All-Americans and four NCAA national qualifiers. At the same time, Scott tackled duties as the head coach of the girls diving program at Incarnate Word High School, where he helped develop three state qualifiers in the school's first year of competition.
Prior to his three years in Texas, Scott gained extensive experience at Duke University and at Springfield College. He spent five seasons at NCAA Division I Duke, where he doubled the size of the program and coached four NCAA zone championship qualifiers. At Springfield, he coached two NCAA Division III All-Americans, including the 2002 NCAA Division III Female Diver of the Year.
Scott is a 2000 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He earned bachelor's degrees in education and biology and went on to collect his master's degree in physical education from Springfield.
During his competitive years, Scott was a four-year letterman at Ouachita Baptist. He was a one-meter and three-meter NAIA All-American diver in 1997. He was a two-time conference champion in 1999 and was named the Arkansas Male College Diver of the Year in both 1999 and 2000.
